Family

Today was the Mills Family reunion. So I thought it fitting to put up some pictures of family. This is Scott's sister, Angie and her family.

Boy, this pose must run in the family. I've seen this shot way too many times from Colton. This is Aidan's version. :)

Mamaw Bingham and Carly.

And this is my family. As you can see, I'm missing one rugrat. He is completely and utterly against having his picture taken for any reason. Hence, he is not in the picture.
Although, I snagged a few of them when he wasn't attention. He's not smiling and he's often being rotten, but they're still of him so I love them. Here he is chewing on his shirt. Don't ask me why he does that cuz I don't know. Teething?

Yep, I do

One of the forums I frequent had a poll about love. Are you still in love? What physicals signs of love do you still have after all these years? Do you still hold hands? Get butterflies? Etc., etc. It made me stop and think for a second. I guess because we're so busy, we don't pay much attention to those details. We make time for ourselves and make time for us, but day to day....those things just get lost in the mix.

However, sitting here alone and looking at this picture of Scott makes me realize just how much I love him and how lucky I am to have him in my life. An uncontrollable smile creeps on my face and memories flood my mind. I may no longer have the constant "my heart skips a beat" feelings, but I think what I do have is much better. After almost 17 years of marriage and lots of life changing events, I am in still love with this man and would marry him all over again.

That's probably enough mushy talk. I don't want to embarrass him with all this public display of affection. :) I love you, sweetie.

Fun with Daddy

Who doesn't love a big ol' silly Daddy in your face? Keira and Daddy played peek-a-boo and tickle bug on the couch tonight. She really enjoyed her one on one time with Daddy.

The best toy ever

I learned with Colton that often times the best toy isn't a toy at all. When he was about 9 months old, we became his favorite toys. He played on us like we were a live jungle gym. Everyday Scott comes home from work, he and Colton wrestle on the floor for about 30 minutes. It's their male bonding time. He plays with me during the day, but it's not the same. Daddy is just 'da bomb when it comes to floor play. The girls aren't quite old enough for wrestling matches, but they do have tickle fests and they love it. Their giggling is just magical and you can't help but smile. Here's all three on them playing with Daddy. I can only imagine what it will be like next year when the girls can really tackle him. Oh, the squeals. And the bruises. I think Scott might need to invest in a protective cup. Hahaa! These pictures are not portraits in any way, but I couldn't help the Mommy goggles. There's something beautiful about a man with his children. And their drool. :)

It's a man thing

I'll never understand why it's so difficult for my husband to smile. For as long as I've known him, he's always had this serious look on his face. His driver's licenses' picture makes him look like a mass murderer. I guess it's a good thing he has beautiful eyes and eyelashes to die for. All our children resemble him so while I may never capture Scott smiling, I'll know what he could look like when I see my children grin.
