My husband and the typical senior pose

Hehee. My poor hubby is often mistreated and abused by the likes of me. I'm always taking pictures of him, especially when the kids won't cooperate, when I want to practice something. Tonight was using my OCF in the typical senior pose. I think I got it. :)

I love Daddy

My friend MaryAnn told me that there would come a time when Daddy was the bomb. Colton would no longer want to follow me around. I thought that I couldn't wait until that day came. Having three children need all of my attention ALL the time was wearing me out. It seems that day has come and I have to admit, it makes me a bit teary-eyed. I see how all the kids get excited when they see that Daddy is home. It's a good thing, but a reminder that they're growing up and realizing that there's more to life than just Mommy. :(

Yeah, I'm walking

Daddy's home! The most glorious time of the day.....when my pinch hitter comes home from work! LOL The kids all go crazy when he walks in and it's so much fun to see. Carly's been walking for about a week now and it's so cute to watch her toddle around. She looks like Clyde from "Every Which Way But Loose" Hahahaa. I'm sure the diaper has something to do with the wobble. That's a new diaper, by the way.....I didn't want anyone thinking I'm letting her go around with a 14lbs. diaper. LOL

Daddy is actually useful, sometimes

Keira is my smiley baby. In fact, whenever she's in a mood, all I have to do is start singing "If you're happy and you know it" and she will instantly smile and start clapping her hands. It's a great trick and I'll be very sad when it no longer works. Very sad, indeed.

Anyway, when Daddy placed her upon this stump and walked away, she started to get a bit disturbed. But Mommy stopped that quickly with her rendition of "If you're happy and you know it" while snapping away. Instantly the smile and clapping appeared. It was a good day.

Now, Carly, on the other hand is not my smiley baby. Ha! Singing "If you're happy and you know it" was fruitless. Not impressed, not having it, and not gonna do it. Even with Daddy in the picture, she did not wanna be on that stump. Look how tightly she is grabbing on to his shirt. LOL So, yeah....Daddy's useful sometimes. He got her to calm down enough for a picture. He even managed to look at the camera AND smiled. Totally impressed me.

Who said boys are braver than girls?

Well, they were wrong. And what's wrong with a boy being scared? Absolutely nothing, in my opinion. Although, it is quite amusing to Scott and I that our 1 year old girls love to frolic through the house on Daddy's shoulders laughing and giggling while Colton cried hysterically. He kept saying "Baby's turn. Baby's turn!" Hahaa. This is another one of those things that will come up in therapy in 20 years.

Look at the grip he has on Scott. Is that a new age face lift? Hahahahaa!

Not to quote Cars again and again but....

"Look at my husband, y'all!" Hahaa! I got my new lens today: Canon EF 18-200mm, the kit lens for my new Canon 50D. I had to try it out and since the kids were all sleeping when he got home, he was my lucky test subject. He's thrilled, as always. I took a few of him playing with Keira when she woke up, but unfortunately, Colton's computer chair left a big shadow over his face so none of them are any good. He's on vacation this week so I'm hoping to get out of the house and get some great shots of them with my new camera. Wish me luck!

Daddy and Keira

Usually all the kids are up from their naps by the time he comes home from work. Today, he came home from work early and Keira was the only one up. She got some alone time with Daddy and loved having all of his attention.
