Matthew and Angelika’s Wedding { Dayton, Ohio Wedding Photographer }

Just a bit more of a preview from Matthew and Angelika’s wedding. They are such a fun-loving couple. Never a dull moment and always up for anything. I couldn’t have asked for more. I had a fantabulous time at their wedding. Here’s a few of my favorites (and that was hard to do!):

Boys will be boys. This is the groomsmen and groom before the ceremony. Classic.

Their first look was in private. Just me and them. What an emotionally charged moment.

Formals were at a different location and I’m sure everyone thought I was insane for choosing an abandoned building. But I loved the wild vines and worn down brick. It made them even more stunning.

In case you couldn’t tell by now, I love feet pictures. :)

Whew….what a ride! I hope they enjoyed their day and have many more happy days to come. Congratulations Matthew and Angelika!

Mangino Wedding Preview { Dayton, Ohio Wedding Photographer }

What a whirlwind day! One I won’t soon forget. :) She was a gorgeous bride and once the dress went on, she definitely put you in mind of a Barbie Doll! And he was cool, calm, and collected unlike any groom I’ve ever met. Maybe it was the shot of vodka that my husband took him out for. LOL Of course, no wedding day goes perfectly and this one was no exception. But I have to say that I think they both handled the issues gracefully and at the end of the day, we had a gorgeous husband and wife. I feel so honored to have been a part of their special day. I wish you both nothing but happiness and love. This is just a small preview of what’s to come.

Here’s a few cute ones from the photo booth at the reception. It was such a hit!

And a shot of the photographers with the bride and groom. Special thanks to Lorie Heagerty for being such a FANTABULOUS assistant at the photo booth. Lorie, you’re a rock star!

Twin boys { Beavercreek, OH Child Photographer }

I cannot believe how fast these little boys are growing up. I met them when were just a few weeks old and they graced my kitchen table for a natural light photography newborn session. Oh so beautiful and too stinkin’ cuddly.

Today, they’re 6 months old. They’re itching to crawl, roll over, sit up, grab everything, eat anything. They weren’t too sure about me. I must be a lot to take on. :) All my friends who just read that are cracking up at the understatement. Hmmpf.

Regardless, the little men played for a bit and we got some great portraits. I got a few smiles (and a few tears, but we’re not counting those). I know for a fact that next time, they’ll remember me and I’ll get all kinds of smiles. The 9 month session is a breeze!

Well, Mom and Dad and Grandma, I hope you like the preview and enjoy the portraits. Talk to you soon!

Trash the Dress session: Success! { Dayton, OH Wedding Photographer }

Trash the Dress session.  Just exactly as it sounds. Take the dress (wedding, prom, etc.) and wear it again. This time wear where you wouldn’t ever expect to see it. It’s ok if it gets dirty, if it gets wet, if it gets trashed. Wear it where it’s weird or just downright taboo. Why wear it just one day if it’s that important? And for those of you haven’t had the American wedded bliss, what’s stopping you from wearing it again and looking fantabulous in it again after the divorce? Just a thought. :)

Thanks Meghan! You were FAN-FREAKIN-TABULOUS!!! She’s a beauty!

Newborn sweetness { Vandalia, OH Newborn Photographer }

Little Miss A was full of spunk and made me eat crow. I tell parents that typically it can take up to 3 hours for a newborn session, but we will definitely hit a sleep cycle during that time. Miss A proved me wrong. She refused to cooperate with my plans and showed me who was boss! LOL I’m so glad her parents were understanding and willing to wait it out for 4 1/2 hours. It’s a good thing she’s beautiful, huh? :)

I Heart Faces Challenge “Vroom, vroom”

This is my submission to this week’s challenge on I Heart Faces.

Miss Haleigh was one of my first senior sessions. She was brave enough to climb inside this old truck. It reeked of gasoline and the seat was quite a mess. I’m so glad she did, this is one of my favorites from the session. There’s something to be said about a beautiful girl and a vehicle. I guess that’s why they’re a staple in a garage’s calendar. :)

Nostalgic e-session { Franklin, OH Wedding Photographer }

O.M.G. I had so much stinkin’ fun last night with Shannon and Rick. When planning an engagement session, it’s almost important to think about who YOU are so that your pictures match your personality, your style. Shannon put a lot of thought into this session. She knew it had to capture them, their essence, their spirit, their love. She told me that Rick was very child-like (and not in an immature way), but rather he liked to have fun. Good ol’ fashioned fun. And as you can see by the 3rd picture, he’s quite mischievous, too. :)

What better way to show that love than by going ‘way back’. Back when you played outside and had to come home when the streetlights came on. When you went to the carnival with your parents and ate so much cotton candy you got sick to your stomach. When spinning in circles just to get dizzy was the best thing since sliced bread! Bubbles, swings, sidewalk chalk, parks, and the county fair.

Oh, yes. We went there. And I LOVED it!!! Shannon and Rick…I had a BLAST and I hope you did, too. Here’s a preview of your e-session. I hope you like them. :)

Maternity with style and grace { Jamestown, OH Maternity Photographer }

You just can’t get any prettier than this. Truly, who looks this good almost 9 months pregnant? If I didn’t love her dearly, I’d say all kinds of mean things behind her back. Oh alright, whatever, who am I kidding? I say mean things about her, anyway. LOL

Miss Lindsey is just about the cutest pregnant woman ever and it was my pleasure to share this experience with her.  Of course, they could have been much cuter if Mr. Lindsey had come. I hope she razzes him about it! :)

Lindsey, you’re gorgeous. Don’t let Dr. H give you any crap. You’re allowed to moan and groan at this stage in the game. :) I hope you like the pictures.Talk to you this weekend.
